Home My Public Portal About09-7480 Royal Rent A Car Sponsored by: City Manager RESOLUTION NO. 0 9-7 4 8 0 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE PAYMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF FIVE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED THIRTY-TWO DOLLARS AND NINETY-FOUR CENTS ($5,232.94) TO ROYAL RENT-A-CAR FOR THE RENTAL OF UNMARKED VEHICLES FOR THE OPA-LOCKA POLICE DEPARTMENT, PAYABLE FROM ACCOUNT 21-521648 WHEREAS, due to a shortage of patrol and unmarked vehicles, the City of Opa-locka ("City")Police Department has obtained additional vehicles through car rental agencies in an effort to support law enforcement operations throughout the City; and WHEREAS, between January 2007 and December 2008, the City rented vehicles from Royal Rent-A-Car for use as unmarked patrol vehicles for the City's Police Department; and WHEREAS,Royal Rent-A-Car has invoiced the City in the amount of Five Thousand Two Hundred Thirty-Two Dollars and Ninety-Four Cents ($5,232.94) for City patrol rental; and WHEREAS,the City Manager is requesting authorization from the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka("City Commission")to pay Royal Rent-A-Car in the amount of Five Thousand Two Hundred Thirty-Two Dollars and Ninety-Four Cents ($5,232.94); and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to authorize the City Manager to make payment to Royal Rent-A-Car for the benefit of the City's Police Department. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference. Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby authorizes the City Resolution No. 0 9-7 4 8 0 Manager to make payment in the amount of Five Thousand Two Hundred Thirty-Two Dollars and Ninety-Four Cents($5,232.94)to Royal Rent-A-Car for the rental of unmarked vehicles for the City of Opa-locka's Police Department, payable from Account No. 21-521648. .Section 3.
