A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE STREET CLOSURE FOR LA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT AND
WAIVING THE PERMIT FEES IN THE AMOUNT OF $1028.00
WHEREAS, a request was made by the L.A. Sheriff's Department to close
portions of various streets along Imperial Hwy, Martin Luther King, Bullis, and
Fernwood; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the closures is to conduct the Los Angeles County
Sheriff's Athletic Association 5K/10K Mug Run; and
WHEREAS, the L.A. County Sheriff's Athletic Association are requesting the
street closures for Saturday, March~27, 20100 from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council approves the waiver of permit fees.
Section 2. The City Council approves the temporary street closure of various
streets along Imperial Hwy, Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Bullis Rd., and Fernwood Ave.
Closing the streets is necessary for the safety and protection of residents who are to
use this portion of the street during the temporary closing.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
