Austin is a 68 unit rental apartment community located on 28 Austin Street in Newtonville. 23 of these
apartments will be made available through this application process and rented to households with
incomes at or below 80% of the Area Median Income. Austin is Newton's smartest and most friendly
housing. 68 new sustainable and pedestrian -oriented apartments in a walkable location in Newtonville
will offer households convenience and amenity that is unmatched in Newton. Opening in
Spring/Summer 2019. Units have eco-friendly luxury wide plank flooring throughout the apartment;
European style flat front soft close kitchen cabinetry; tile backsplash, and in -unit Bosch washer and
dryers. Bathrooms will feature showers and baths with large -format tile, dual sink vanities with Grohe
faucets, and deep soaking shower tubs. The building features a Striking modem lobby with seating
area; Cardio fitness and strength training center; South -facing sunny roof deck with fire pit and pergola;
a Play area and dog relief area; Community kitchen and living room, and library lounge.

A Public Info Session will be held on June 25th, 2019 at 6 pm at the War Memorial Auditorium in Newton
City Hall (1000 Commonwealth Ave). The Lottery for eligible households will be held on August 7th,
2019 at 6 pm at the Newton Free Library (330 Homer Street).
Completed Applications and Required Income Documentation must be delivered, or postmarked, by
2 pm on July 12th, 2019.
Applications postmarked by the deadline must be received no later than 5 business days from the
deadline.
