HomeMy Public PortalAbout1986-063Member -Sa d-y.e.t introduced the following resolution and moved its adopted: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 3 RESOLUTION GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO QX, INC. WHEREAS, QX, Inc. (Applicant) has applied for permission to use the building located at 2705 Highway 55 to operate a die casting business; and WHEREAS, the Medina city code permits the use of such property only upon the issuance of a conditional use permit; and WHEREAS, the Applicant appeared before the Planning Commis- sion on July 8 and July 29, 1986 in regard to this matter. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota that the Applicant's use of the subject property for the proposed use is consistent with the ordinances of the City and will not impede the development of adjacent property and that a conditional use permit for same is hereby granted, subject to the following conditions: 1. No equipment on the property shall extend more than five feet above the roof line of the building; 2. The Applicant shall submit an exterior lighting plan which is satisfactory to the zoning administrator; 3. The zoning administrator shall assist the Applicant in securing the necessary permits for the entrance right-of-way, culvert and berm; 4. All water discharged from the property shall meet state standards; 5. The Applicant shall install landscaping in accordance with a plan satisfactory to the zoning administrator, which shall include beginning planting on the berm and north side in the fall of 1986, completion of those areas by November, 1987, and planting 6-9 evergreen trees along the southern edge of the property to screen the loading dock area by November, 1990; 6. The Applicant shall fill the ramp on the east side of the building; 7. The number of trucks and trailers on the property shall not exceed eight at one time and they shall be parked in the rear of the building; 8. The Applicant shall complete the parking area in accordance with a plan which is satisfactory to the zoning administra- tor; 9. The building shall be connected to city water and to the Minnegasco gas line; 10. The Applicant shall repair the asphalt on site to a nine ton capacity; 11. The Applicant shall comply with the 60-40 hardsurface coverage requirements of the zoning ordinance; 12. The Applicant shall bring the existing metal building into compliance with the City's performance standards according to the schedule established in the zoning ordinance; 13. Use or abandonment of the underground fuel tanks shall be in compliance with applicable regulations of the City and other governmental units having jurisdiction; 14. The facility may be used 24 hours per day, 7 days per week; 15. Noise generated by the operation shall not exceed the standards of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency; 16. A11 signs on the property shall comply with the requirements of the City's sign ordinance; and 17. Exterior storage shall be allowed only in the southeast corner of the site and in accordance with City ordinance requirements. DATED: , 1986.
