Home My Public Portal About09-7903 Quote from Dell Marketing LP Sponsored by: City Manager RESOLUTION NO. 0 9-7 9 0 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, PIGGYBACKING THE CONTRACT BETWEEN THE STATE OF FLORIDA AND DELL MARKETING LP, ACCEPTING THE QUOTE FROM DELL MARKETING LP, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXPEND FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF SEVEN THOUSAND AND EIGHT DOLLARS ($7,008.00) FOR THE PURCHASE OF TEN (10) DELL COMPUTERS FOR A COMPUTER LAB AT INGRAM PARK, PAYABLE FROM ACCOUNT NO. 74-529481 WHEREAS, the City of Opa-locka ("City") Parks and Recreation Department desires to establish and operate a computer lab for the City's children at Ingram Park; and WHEREAS, establishing a computer lab at Ingram Park will allow youth in the Magnolia North area of the City to have access to computers after school and during the summer months; and WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2-316(11) of the City Charter, the City Manager is recommending that the City piggyback Contract No. 250-040-08-1 between the State of Florida and Dell Marketing LP, and accept the quote for the purchase of ten (10) Dell computers at a cost of Seven Thousand and Eight Dollars ($7,008.00); and WHEREAS, the City Manager is requesting authorization from the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka ("City Commission") to purchase ten (10) Dell computers at a cost of Seven Thousand and Eight Dollars ($7,008.00). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals to the preamble are hereby incorporated by reference. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby piggybacks Contract No. 250-040-08-1 between the State of Florida and Dell Marketing LP, and accepts the quote from Dell Marketing LP, for the purchase of ten (10) Dell computers at a cost of Seven Thousand and Eight Dollars ($7,008.00). Section 3. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby authorizes the City Manager to expend funds in the amount of Seven Thousand and Eight Dollars ($7,008.00) for the purchase of ten (10) Dell computers for a computer lab at Ingram Park, payable from Account No. 74-529481.
