HomeMy Public PortalAboutAll Citizens Access -- 2017-02-17 Minutes Brewster All Citizens Access Committee Meeting February 17 , 2017 Present at the meeting were Joan Carstanjen , Claire Gradone , Judy Miller , Roberto Murphy , Jim O' Leary , and Cindy Bingham , Selectmen liaison . The meeting was called to order at 2 ; 30 pm at the Brewster Police Department conference room . Secretary's Report - The minutes of the January 20 meeting were reviewed . Jim O' Leary had some questions regarding the Paine' s Creek project . Judy asked that a sentence in Old /New Business be amended to read " that the area would need to be redesigned " not " that may that area would need to be redesigned " . Judy made a motion to accept the amended minutes . 2nd Roberta . The motion was passed unanimously . November 18 minutes will be revisited for approval at the March meeting when a paper copy is available . Director's Report - Claire Gradone reported that phase 2 of the Golf Course project will be on the May Town Warrant . Judy Miller added that the Golf Course is planning major renovation of the Galley area so only 2 doors may be done and the ACAC project will be finished on completion of the renovation . Claire presented the idea of preparing a pamphlet to be available at the Visitors Center that would provide information about handicap access at Brewster bay and pond beaches . It was agreed that Claire would gather information and the committee would discuss format at the next meeting . Old Business - The idea of creating a Braille Trail in Brewster was revisited . Quivett Creek , and the two Eddy trails off Lower Road were discussed . Possible collaboration with the Conservation Trust for CPC monies was discussed . New Business - Cindy Bingham brought up the idea of requesting the Selectmen to decrease the number of members required for the ACAC to 5 members as it has been difficult to recruit new members . Claire will contact the Selectmen's Office . The meeting was adjourned at 3930 pm Next meeting - March 17 at the Brewster Police Facility. Claire Gradone
