AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Five Million Four Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($5,400,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for pump
station improvements in Geyer Sanitary Relief and Windsor Springs P-521 Storage (Big Bend
Blvd to Windsor Springs Dr) (12175) in the Cities of Kirkwood and Sunset Hills, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22045 with Unnerstall Contracting Company, LLC
for pump station improvements.
WHEREAS, the bid for said pump station improvements is Four Million Nine
Hundred Ninety-Four Thousand Two Hundred Ninety-One and 50/100 Dollars ($4,994,291.50)
and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Four Hundred Five
Thousand Seven Hundred Eight and 50/100 Dollars ($405,708.50); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Million Four Hundred Thousand Dollars
($5,400,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for pump station
improvements in Geyer Sanitary Relief and Windsor Springs P-521 Storage (Big Bend Blvd to
Windsor Springs Dr) (12175) in the Cities of Kirkwood and Sunset Hills, Missouri; said contract
being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General
Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22045
with Unnerstall Contracting Company, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for pump station
improvements in Geyer Sanitary Relief and Windsor Springs P-521 Storage (Big Bend Blvd to
Windsor Springs Dr) (12175) in the Cities of Kirkwood and Sunset Hills, Missouri, pursuant to
bids received on the 13th day of July, 2021.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on September 9, 2021.
