HomeMy Public PortalAbout15733 Washington Terrace 14 Sewer Replacement (13292)ORDINANCE NO. 15733 AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Two Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($270,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for combined sewer construction in Washington Terrace 14 Sewer Replacement (13292) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22042 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc. for combined sewer construction. WHEREAS, the bid for said combined sewer construction is Two Hundred Thirty- Three Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($233,800.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Thirty-Six Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($36,200.00); and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($270,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for combined sewer construction in Washington Terrace 14 Sewer Replacement (13292) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District. Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22042 with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for combined sewer construction in Washington Terrace 14 Sewer Replacement (13292) in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 22nd day of June, 2021. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on September 9, 2021.
