AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of One Million Fifteen Thousand
Dollars ($1,015,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and Three Hundred Sixty-Five
Thousand Dollars ($365,000.00) from the Districtwide Stormwater Fund to be used for sanitary
sewer construction in Canterbury and Roland Sanitary Relief (Nelson Dr to Roland Blvd) (12110)
in the Cities of Northwoods and Pasadena Hills, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director
and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into
Contract No. 22048 with Aztec Construction Specialties, LLC for sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is One Million One
Hundred Ninety-Seven Thousand Three Hundred Sixty-Nine Dollars ($1,197,369.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Eighty-Two
Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-One Dollars ($182,631.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($1,015,000.00)
is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and the sum of Three Hundred Sixty-
Five Thousand Dollars ($365,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Districtwide Stormwater
Fund for sanitary sewer construction in Canterbury and Roland Sanitary Relief (Nelson Dr to
Roland Blvd) (12110) in the Cities of Northwoods and Pasadena Hills, Missouri; said contract
being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General
Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22048
with Aztec Construction Specialties, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
construction in Canterbury and Roland Sanitary Relief (Nelson Dr to Roland Blvd) (12110) in the
Cities of Northwoods and Pasadena Hills, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 20th day of
July, 2021.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on September 9, 2021.
