RESOLUTION SUPPORTING ASSEMBLY A2295
WHEREAS, the New Jersey General Assembly is currently considering a bill
(A2295) introduced by Assemblywoman Arline M. Friscia; and
WHEREAS, A2295 would provide the Borough of Carteret (the "Borough")
with needed and deserved assistance to make the Borough Hall ADA compliant
thereby opening the facility to a signification and important segment of the
population; and
WHEREAS, the grant proposed by A2295 would also allow the Borough to
eliminate the fungus infestation at the Borough Hall; and
WHEREAS, the Carteret Borough Hall restoration is the critical next step in
developing a town center which is the cornerstone of the Borough's
revitalization plan; and
WHEREAS, the people of Carteret are well deserving of this grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret that passage of Assembly Bill A2295 is vigorously urged.
BE, IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this Resolution be sent to
Assemblywoman Friscia, Assemblyman John Wisniewski and Senator Joseph
Vitale.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this Resolution be sent to the
other communities in Middlesex County requesting they pass simil'ar resolutions
in support.
