HomeMy Public PortalAbout2021-42 Resolution Approving Off-Site Gambling Permit For the Wayzata Youth Hockey District #284 To Conduct Lawful Charitable Gambling at 3200 Mill StreetMember Reid introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 2021-42 RESOLUTION APPROVING OFF -SITE GAMBLING PERMIT FOR THE WAYZATA YOUTH HOCKEY DISTRICT # 284 TO CONDUCT LAWFUL CHARITABLE GAMBLING AT 3200 MILL STREET WHEREAS, the Wayzata Youth Hockey District # 284 ("Applicant") has made application to the City of Medina for "Off -Site Gambling" to conduct charitable gambling activities under authority and regulation of Minnesota Statute 349.16; and WHEREAS, said premises permit will be for charitable gambling activities to be conducted at the Hamel Community Building located at 3200 Mill Street within the city; and WHEREAS, Applicant understands that this license prohibits conducting charitable gambling activities at any other location not stated herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Medina, Minnesota that the Applicant's request to conduct off -site gambling be granted, effective for the Medina Celebration Day single day event on September 18, 2021.
