PROMSIO~AL SEIWICES OONTRACT
FOR LMGAL SERVICES
W~{EREAS, there exists a need for professional services to in-
vestigate and prosecute an action in connection with violation
by Con Rail; and
WttEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:ll-5(1)(a) professional
servoces are expmpt from the requirements of competitive
bidding; and
WHerEAS, the Local Finance Officer has certified that funds
are available.
NOW, %~ORE, BE 1TRESOLV~, that the Mayor and Council of
the Borough of Carteret does hereby approve the appointment
of BRUCE EHMAN, Esq., at a maximum cost of not to exceed
$10,000.00 billable per attached contract;
BE IT FURTH~RESOLV~, THAT THE Mayor and Municipal Clerk are
hereby authorized to execute said contract;
IT IS FURRIH~I~ that the contract is awarded without
competitive bids in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40A:ll-5(1)(a)
due to the specialized and professional nature of the services
provided.
