A public hearing to receive testimony on unmet transit needs
is scheduled. No action by the Commission is to be taken at
this time.

A video on traffic management strategies that were
successful during the 1984 Olympics will be shown.

Legislation.
8. Stat „s g Development Qf 1986 EmIp,
"Bid Pot" for new projects has been reduced to -E-.
Caltrans recommendations on new safety and rehabilitation
projects as well as schedule changes are presented.
9. Emergency Freeway Call Box System.
Information on the implementation of emergency freeway call
box system is presented and a recommendation to hire a
consultant to further study the feasibility of a system for
Riverside County.
10 Proposal for New Freeway I-215 and Route 91,
Staff is recommending that study of this proposal be a part
of the current RIV/SAN Transportation Study.
11. Report Qn ailriLina Line 4 Saturday aeLYice and Palm 2eaaLt
Trolley.
Ridership and cost data for these services are presented
with a staff recommendation to continue funding for only the
Line 4 Saturday service.
12. Route 55 High Occupancy Vehicle Lane Pr•ject.
Information is presented on the HOV lane experiment on Route
55 in Orange County together with a recommendation that the
Commission support continuation of the project.
13. Commission Membership.
Information on the history behind the composition of the
Commission is presented as part of the discussion of
possible membership expansion.
