RESOLUTION NO. g6- / /
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
LETTER OF INTENT AND JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT
WITH HENNEPIN COUNTY
WHEREAS, the City of Medina is a duly constituted
municipality under Chapter 412 Minnesota Statutes with its own
police department; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hennepin is a duly constututed
county under Chapter 873 and provides law enforcement services in
accordance with Minnesota Statutes; and
WHEREAS, the City of Medina hays a need on a temporary basis
fo one atrol officer not to exceed ot4,7„/ (46 )1 'months starting
g , 19,4 ; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hennepin is able to supply such a
qualified officer under a joint powers arrangement as provided for
in Minnesota Statute 436.05 under the conditions outlined in
attachment of the letter of intent dated 02 , 1986 ; and
WHEREAS, the letter of intent provides the basis for
initiating such services.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of
the City of Medina that it desires such s rvices under the terms
outlined in the letter of intent dated , 19 8G ,
and hereby resolves to enter into the needed joint powers agreement
under these terms and, FURTHER RESOLVED, that its i/ ,y70.4040ALJ �t.

may jointly execute the appropriate lett r of intent and joint
powers agreement in line with the conditions of the letter of intent.
