J7(n - / 4 RESOLUTION CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR TIF DISTRICT NO. 1-4 WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 472A, the city council has established Development District No. 1 for the purpose of promoting development within a certain portion of the City; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 273.71 through 273.78, inclusive, the city council has established tax increment financing districts nos. 1-1, 1-2 and 1-3 for the purpose of aiding development for private enterprise which otherwise would not reasonably be expected to occur within the reasonably foreseeable future; and WHEREAS, the city council believes it to be desirable to establish another tax increment financing district within Development District No. 1. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city council of the City of Medina, Minnesota as follows: 1. The city council shall hold a public hearing on the proposed TIF District No. 1-4 on December 16, 1986, at $:/� p.m. in the council chambers at city hall. 2. Ehlers & Associates, Inc., is hereby authorized to prepare a tax increment plan for the proposed TIF district. 3. A copy of the draft plan shall be sent to the city clerk -treasurer and retained on file in the city offices for inspection by the public. 4. A copy of the plan shall be sent to the board of commissions of Hennepin County and to the board of any school district(s) in which the proposed TIF district is located for comment prior to or at the public hearing. 5. The planning commission shall review the plan for its consistency with general plans for development of the City as a whole. 6. The city clerk -treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to cause a notice of the public hearing to be held before the city council to be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City at least 10, but not more than 30, days prior to the hearing. 7. Ehlers & Associates, Inc., the city attorney, city engineer and city clerk -treasurer are hereby directed and authorized to take any and all actions necessary to prepare the TIF plan and schedule a public hearing thereon.
