Quarterly Transit Operations Report.
4. Report an Federal Legislation - Funds far Route a..
Tim Egan, the Commission's lobbyist, will report on Congressional
action on a new transportation bill and the results of our effort
to get federal funds for Route 86.
5. Service Authority for Ereewav Emergencies.
The formation of the SAFE has been approved by the County and a
majority of the cities. Commission action is requested to form a
technical advisory committee and to notify the DMV to begin
collecting the $1 vehicle registration surcharge.
6. Response fx4na Caltrans an Accident Reporting Procedures.
Caltrans' response to the Commission's inquiry concerning report-
ing of accidents is presented.
7. Status of Route a5 ar jects.
Carl West, Caltrans District 11 Deputy Director, will report on
the status of Route 86 projects in Riverside County.
8. Report an Transit Service Reductions and Fare Increa=es.
A staff report is presented on the efforts of SunLine and RTA to
reduce costs and increase fare revenue in order to offset the
loss of State transit funds. A recommendation to allocate addi-
tional TDA funds to RTA and SunLine is also presented.
