RESOLUTION NO, 0 9-7 9 4 8
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
CONVERSION OF THE GOLF COURSE SITE, LOCATED
SOUTH OF GOLF COURSE DRIVE BETWEEN JANN
AVENUE AND NW 37TH AVENUE / DOUGLAS ROAD, TO
A PASSIVE PARK FOR RESIDENTS OF THE CITY OF
OPA-LOCKA
WHEREAS, the City of Opa-locka("City") owns three (3) parcels of vacant land known
as the "Golf Course Site", located south of Golf Course Drive between Jann Avenue and NW
37th Avenue/Douglas Road within the City; and
WHEREAS, Vice-Mayor Taylor has proposed that the City Commission of the Opa-
locka("City Commission") authorize the conversion of the Golf Course site to a passive park for
the residents of the City; and
WHEREAS,the creation of a passive park on the Golf Course site would provide City
residents with additional green and open space for children to play.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble are hereby incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby authorizes the
conversion of the "Golf Course Site", located south of Golf Course Drive between Jann Avenue
and NW 37th Avenue / Douglas Road within the City of Opa-locka, to a passive park for the
residents of the City.
Section 3. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby authorizes the City
Manager to take any and all necessary action to effectuate the intent of this Resolution.

Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
