AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Three Million Dollars
($3,000,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer rehabilitation
in Coldwater Sanitary Relief Section B, C & D – Section B Rehabilitation (11724) in the Cities of
Florissant and Hazelwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22040
with SAK Construction, LLC for sanitary sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Two Million Eight
Hundred Seventy-Six Thousand Two Hundred Eighty-Eight Dollars ($2,876,288.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Twenty-
Three Thousand Seven Hundred Twelve Dollars ($123,712.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Million Dollars ($3,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer rehabilitation in Coldwater
Sanitary Relief Section B, C & D – Section B Rehabilitation (11724) in the Cities of Florissant
and Hazelwood, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have
been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22040
with SAK Construction, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer rehabilitation in
Coldwater Sanitary Relief Section B, C & D – Section B Rehabilitation (11724) in the Cities of
Florissant and Hazelwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 22nd day of July, 2021.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on October 14, 2021.
