AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Three Million Three Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($3,350,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary
sewer rehabilitation in Lemay Public I/I Reduction and Rehabilitation (2022) Contract A (12590)
in the Cities of Maplewood, Richmond Heights, Shrewsbury, and Webster Groves, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22044 with Insituform Technologies USA, LLC
for sanitary sewer rehabilitation.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer rehabilitation is Three Million Two
Hundred Seven Thousand Four and 68/100 Dollars ($3,207,004.68) and the allowance for
construction change orders and other project expenses is One Hundred Forty-Two Thousand Nine
Hundred Ninety-Five and 32/100 Dollars ($142,995.32); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Three Million Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($3,350,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Lemay Public I/I Reduction and Rehabilitation (2022) Contract A (12590) in the
Cities of Maplewood, Richmond Heights, Shrewsbury, and Webster Groves, Missouri; said
contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the
General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22044
with Insituform Technologies USA, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer
rehabilitation in Lemay Public I/I Reduction and Rehabilitation (2022) Contract A (12590) in the
Cities of Maplewood, Richmond Heights, Shrewsbury, and Webster Groves, Missouri, pursuant
to bids received on the 12th day of August, 2021.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on October 14, 2021.
