AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of One Million Five Hundred
Thousand Dollars ($1,500,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for combined
sewer construction in South Broadway at Meramec Combined Sewer Replacement (10756) in the
City of St. Louis, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on
behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22084 with
Unnerstall Contracting Company, LLC for combined sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said combined sewer construction is One Million Sixty-
One Thousand Five Hundred Ninety-Eight and 50/100 Dollars ($1,061,598.50) and the allowance
for construction change orders and other project expenses is Four Hundred Thirty-Eight Thousand
Four Hundred One and 50/100 Dollars ($438,401.50); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
($1,500,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for combined sewer
construction in South Broadway at Meramec Combined Sewer Replacement (10756) in the City
of St. Louis, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been
approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22084
with Unnerstall Contracting Company, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for combined sewer
construction in South Broadway at Meramec Combined Sewer Replacement (10756) in the City
of St. Louis, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 22nd day of September, 2021.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on November 10, 2021.
