In accordance with the provisions of Section 43 of Chapter
53 of the General Iav4s,,, the polls were declared to remain open
until 8 p.m. , this being the first primary since the population
of the Tom is now over 2000. 1971 population 2220.

The State Primary was held on September 19, 1972 in accordance
with the Warrant, at the Brewster Town Hall. Polls were open from
10, A.M. and closed at 8 P.M. The return of the Warrant was read
by the Town Clerk, Donald P. Consodi.ne. The following election
officers were sworn in by the Town Clerk: Paul. C'. Sylver, Warden
Fred H. lash, Gladys Curtis, Dorothy Grenier, Doris Powell, Robert
Clark, Katherine Meyer, J. Ogden Tyldsley, 7.bxth muddy. The police
officer at the ballot boX was Dominic Leonard.
There were 217 votes cast, 177 Republican, and 40 'Democrats. The
