WHEREAS, the adoption of Resolution No. 3717 will exercise option year two (2)
of the contract previously authorized by Ordinance No. 15152, adopted July 11, 2019, which
authorized the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District to enter into a contract with Missouri Works Initiative Building Union Diversity
(BUD), whereby Missouri Works Initiative Building Union Diversity (BUD) will provide
assistance for low income, unemployed and underemployed individuals within MSD service area
to obtain training and development for sewer construction occupations.
WHEREAS, said contract provided for an initial term of one (1) year with two (2)
additional one (1) year renewal terms at the option of the District; and
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District desires to exercise its
second (2nd) of two (2) option years to renew said contract for an additional one (1) year term.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT THAT, the Executive Director and
Secretary-Treasurer are hereby authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
to exercise the District’s option to renew for the second one (1) year renewal term the contract
with Missouri Works Initiative Building Union Diversity (BUD), whereby Missouri Works
Initiative Building Union Diversity (BUD) will provide assistance for low income, unemployed
and underemployed individuals within MSD service area to obtain training and development for
sewer construction occupations; said contract renewal shall be comprised of such other terms and
conditions as are approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
