Re: Conchita Alvarez - Employment Offer Letter
Dear Conchita:
Thank you for accepting the Village of Key Biscayne's (the "Village") offer of
employment as Interim Village Clerk, effective February 18, 2020. The terms and
conditions of your employment as part-time Village Clerk are set forth below:
1. As Interim Village Clerk, you agree to perform the duties and exercise the
powers as prescribed by the Section 3.04 of the Village Charter, the Job
Description for the position of Village Clerk, and to perform such other legally
permissible and proper duties and functions as assigned to you by the Village
Council from time to time. You agree and understand that you shall work on a
part time basis, which shall consist of seventeen and a half (17 1/2) hours per
week in the Clerk's Office as well as attendance at all Village Council and
related meetings where the Village Clerk's attendance is required.
2. You shall be paid $75.00/hour, which shall be payable in installments at the
same time as other employees of the Village are paid.
3. The Village will provide you with a cell phone at the Village's cost for you to
conduct Village business.
5. Your employment relationship with the Village is at -will, which means that
either you or the Village Council may terminate your employment at any time
for any reason.
