CITY OF MEDINA
RESOLUTION NO. 4 /- 02 7"
RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A
PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ESTABLISHMENT
OF TAX INCREMENT FINANCING
DISTRICT NO. 1-5
WHEREAS, the City established Development District No. I pursuant to
Minn. Stat., Chapter 472A on January 29, 1985; and
WHEREAS, the City has previously established four tax increment financing
districts (TIF Districts) within Development District No. 1 for the purpose of
promoting development within a portion of the City which is underutilized; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to create an additional TIF District to further
promote the purposes of Development District No. 1.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. Ehlers and Associates, Inc. is hereby authorized to prepare a Plan for
TIF District No. 1-5.
2. A public hearing before the city council is hereby set for 8:00 p.m. on
May 19, 1987, to consider the Plan.
3. The clerk -treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of
the hearing to be published in the newspaper at least 10 but not more
than 30 days prior to said hearing.
4. A copy of the proposed Plan shall be kept on file in the office of the
clerk -treasurer and shall be available for public inspection during
regular business hours.
5. A copy of the proposed Plan shall be mailed to Hennepin county and
affected school districts inviting comment thereon and notifying them of
the public hearing.
