AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000.00) from the
Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for pump station improvements in Caulks Creek A Pump
Station (P-750) Improvements (12248) in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri; and authorizing the
Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
to enter into Contract No. 22076 with Plocher Construction Company, Inc., for the aforesaid pump
station improvements.
WHEREAS, the bid for said pump station improvements is Seven Million Seven
Hundred Twenty-Seven Thousand Dollars ($7,727,000.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Four Hundred Seventy-Three Thousand Dollars
($473,000.00);
WHEREAS, a supplemental appropriation request is planned for Fiscal Year 2023
(FY2023) for a total appropriation amount of Eight Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars
($8,200,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000.00) is hereby
appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for pump station improvements in Caulks Creek
A Pump Station (P-750) Improvements (12248) in the City of Chesterfield, Missouri.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22076
with Plocher Construction Company, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for pump station
improvements in Caulks Creek A Pump Station (P-750) Improvements (12248) in the City of
Chesterfield, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 3rd day of November, 2021.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on January 13, 2022.
