AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Two Hundred Fifty Thousand
Dollars ($250,000.00) from the District Stormwater Fund to be used for storm sewer construction
in Orchard and Windsor Lane Storm Sewer (11598) in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; and
authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22102 with TaylorMade Construction Co., LLC
for storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said storm sewer construction is Two Hundred Eight
Thousand Six Hundred Ninety-Four Dollars ($208,694.00) and the allowance for construction
change orders and other project expenses is Forty-One Thousand Three Hundred Six Dollars
($41,306.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250,000.00) is
hereby appropriated from the District Stormwater Fund for storm sewer construction in Orchard
and Windsor Lane Storm Sewer (11598) in the City of Kirkwood, Missouri; said contract being
comprised of such terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General
Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22102
with TaylorMade Construction Co., LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for storm sewer
construction in Orchard and Windsor Lane Storm Sewer (11598) in the City of Kirkwood,
Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 27th day of October, 2021.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on January 13, 2022.
