Johnson RESOLUTION NO. 0 9-7 9 7 7 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO REJECT ALL BIDS PURSUANT TO INVITATION TO BID (ITB) #09-0911 AND TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE SHERBONDY PARK IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT PHASE ONE WHEREAS, the City of Opa-locka ("City") is in need of the services of a qualified contractor to undertake the construction of the Sherbondy Park Project Phase One Improvements to include such improvements as a multi-purpose community center and gymnasium; and WHEREAS,the City Manager hereby recommends to the City Commission it reject all bids pursuant to Invitation to Bid (ITB) #09-0911 and issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for construction of the Sherbondy Park Project Phase One improvements; and WHEREAS,by issuing a Request for Proposals(RFP)the City will be able to consider bids from qualified contractors for the construction of the Sherbondy Park Project Phase One; and WHEREAS,the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka("City Commission")desires to issue an RFP for the construction of the Sherbondy Park Project Phase One Improvements. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference. Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby authorizes the City Manager to it reject all bids pursuant to Invitation to Bid (ITB) #09-0911 and issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for construction of the Sherbondy Park Project Phase One improvements. Section 3. The City Manager is further authorized to take all necessary and Resolution No. 09-7977 expedient action to effectuate the intent of this Resolution. Section 4.
