HomeMy Public PortalAbout1987-032c Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 87-32 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID ON CONSTRUCTION OF A 400,000 GALLON ELEVATED WATER TANK WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for construction of a 400,000 gallon elevated steel water tank, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the bids listed on Exhibit A attached hereto were received complying with the advertisement; and WHEREAS, the advertisement for bids invited bidders to submit bids on both a hydropillar and a spheroid elevated water tank; and WHEREAS, the City Council has given due consideration to all relevant factors, including initial cost, cost of maintenance and appearance, in determining which type of water tank and has chosen the spheroid tank; and WHEREAS, it appears that CBI NA -CON, Inc. of Plainview, Illinois has submitted the only bid for a spheroid tank. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota that the mayor and clerk -treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with CBI NA -CON, Inc. for construction of a 400,000 spheroid elevated water tank according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the clerk -treasurer.
