RESOLUTION NO. 09-7985
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO
NAME AN INTERIM CITY ATTORNEY;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF
RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Attorney, Burnadette Norris-Weeks, Esq. resigned as
of Wednesday, December 9, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Joseph S. Geller, Esq., and Greenspoon Marder, P.A. have
previously been designated as assistant city attorney.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. Joseph S. Geller, Esq., and Greenspoon Marder, P.A. are
hereby appointed interim City Attorney for a period of six (6) months, pending
appointment of a Permanent City Attorney.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of December, 2009.
