A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, RESCINDING
RESOLUTION 09-7967 ACCEPTING THE PROPOSAL OF
CHOICE ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES,INC.,FOR THE
PROVISION OF RESIDENTIAL WASTE COLLECTION
SERVICES PURSUANT TO RFP NO. 09-0821;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS,on November 12,2009,the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka("City
Commission") passed and adopted Resolution 09-7967, accepting the proposal of Choice
Environmental Services,Inc., for the provision of residential waste collection services pursuant to
RFP No. 09-0821, and further authorized the City Manager to negotiate a professional services
agreement for final approval by the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Dorothy "Dottie" Johnson has recommended that the City
Commission rescind Resolution 09-7967; and
WHEREAS,the City Commission has determined that rescission of Resolution 09-7967 is
in the best interests of the residents of Opa-locka.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka hereby rescinds Resolution
09-7967 in its entirety and authorizes the City Manager to take all necessary and expedient action to
effectuate the intent of this resolution.

.Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
