RESOLUTION NO. 10-7989
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO
DESIGNATE A TOP CHOICE FOR THE
POSITION OF PERMANENT CITY MANAGER;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF
RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the city presently has an interim City Manager; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, Florida, has
been engaged in a process to select a permanent City Manager;
WHEREAS, the City Commission has narrowed the field of candidates to
three (3) and has conducted public interviews of all three (3) finalists.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to preamble herein are incorporated by
reference.
Section 2. Clarance Patterson is hereby designated as the
Commission's top choice for appointment as Permanent City Manager.
Commissioner Dorothy Johnson is hereby authorized to negotiate terms with the
proposed Permanent City Manager, subject to final approval by the City
Commission.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of January, 2010.
