HomeMy Public PortalAbout1987-040Member its adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved CITY OF MEDINAa RESOLUTION NO. 0 / - `7 d RESOLUTION GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO UNITED SPRINKLER, INC./LMD GROUP WHEREAS, United Sprinkler, Inc./LMD Group (Applicant) has requested a conditional use permit to construct a 15' X 30' two-story office addition to their facility located at 172 Hamel Road; and WHEREAS, the proposed addition is intended to be phase I of a three-phase project; and WHEREAS, construction of the addition requires a conditional use permit under the provisions of the City's zoning ordinance; and WHEREAS, this matter has been reviewed by the planning commission on April 14, 1987, and by the city council on May 5, 1987; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the construction of the proposed addition will not impede the orderly development of adjacent properties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota that a conditional use permit be granted to the Applicant for phase I of the project, subject to the following terms and conditions: 1. The Applicant shall complete the required blacktopping within two years of the date of approval of this resolution or completion of phase II of the development, whichever occurs first; 2. Hours of operation shall be limited to 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday; 3. The parking area shall be allowed to encroach into the rear yard setback by a maximum of 15 feet and all parking stalls shall be equipped with appropriate guards to ensure that vehicles are kept within the parking area; 4. There shall be only one access point from the property to Hamel Road and the second existing driveway shall be closed and seeded; 5. The Applicant shall correct any drainage problems which occur now or in the future on the site to the satisfaction of the city engineer; 6. The Applicant shall install landscaping satisfactory to the zoning administrator; 7. Exterior lighting shall be reviewed and approved by the city staff prior to installation; 8. Any signs on the site shall be in compliance with City ordinance requirements; 9. There shall be no exterior storage on the site; 10. There shall be no rooftop mechanical equipment on the building; 11. The Applicant shall screen the trash dumpster to the satisfaction of the city staff; 12. A11 employee parking shall be located on the site; 13. The Applicant shall finish the exterior of the building with vertical boards or other materials acceptable to the city staff; and 14. The Applicant shall pay to the city a fee in an amount determined by the staff to represent the actual cost to the city of reviewing this conditional use permit application. Dated: 41eu% % 9 , 1987.
