AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Seven Hundred Thirty-One
Thousand Dollars ($731,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and Forty-Nine Thousand
Dollars ($49,000.00) from the Districtwide Stormwater Fund to be used for sanitary and storm
sewer construction in Carey Ct 1664 Sanitary and Storm Sewer Replacement (12753) in the City
of Hazelwood, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf
of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22118 with Fred M. Luth
& Sons, Inc. for sanitary and storm sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary and storm sewer construction is Seven
Hundred Twenty-Four Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-Nine Dollars ($724,579.00) and the
allowance for construction change orders and other project expenses is Fifty-Five Thousand Four
Hundred Twenty-One Dollars ($55,421.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Thirty-One Thousand Dollars
($731,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund and the sum of Forty-
Nine Thousand Dollars ($49,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Districtwide Stormwater
Fund for sanitary and storm sewer construction in Carey Ct 1664 Sanitary and Storm Sewer
Replacement (12753) in the City of Hazelwood, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such
terms and conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22118
with Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary and storm sewer
construction in Carey Ct 1664 Sanitary and Storm Sewer Replacement (12753) in the City of
Hazelwood, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 30th day of November, 2021.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on February 10, 2022.
