AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING THE CODE
BY OPTING OUT OF THE STATUTORY PROVISIONS ROLLING BACK UTILITY
TAXES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 17 (Licenses, Taxation And Miscellaneous Business
Regulations) is hereby amended by the addition of a new Section 212 (No Automatic
Adjustments) as follows:
Section 17-212. No Automatic Adjustments
Pursuant to Section 393.275, RSMo., and anv and all other applicable authority, the Citv shall
maintain the tax rate of its business license taxes on the gross receipts of electric utilities without
reduction notwithstanding any periodic fluctuations in the tariffs of such utility corporations or any
notice thereof including, but not limited to,notice sent under Section 393.275,RSMo.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the
date of its passage and approval. P
