HOME ENERGY CHECK-UP PROGRAM
RESIDENTIAL ENERGY CONSERVATION
WHERAS, Northern States Power is an electrial power distribution
company which is authorized by Minnesota law to implement
residential conservation programs which serve area resi-
dents; and
WHEREAS, Northern States Power has designed a conservation improve-
ment program which has been approved by the Minnesota
Public Utilities Commission, which includes a "Home Energy
Check -Up Program" which can be delivered in conjunction
with local units of government; and
WHEREAS, Northern States Power desires to implement a Home Energy
Check -Up Program in conjunction with the West Hennepin
Human Services; and
WHEREAS, the administration of the program by West Hennepin Human
Services would ensure community participation by providing
education, consultation and technical assistance on issues
pertaining to the human services delivery system; provid-
ing linkages between governmental units, consumers and pro-
viders; increasing awareness of available human services
resources; identifying and advocating for needed service
resources; and to improve the existing service system;
assisting others in the development of human services pro-
grams;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the city of
Medina, that the CrT4 01 /17
participate in the Home Energy Check-np Program through the establish-
ment of a community energy council and that the West Hennepin Human
Services administer the program.
