WHEREAS, the City Commission desires that the City of Opa-locka become involved in the Tree City USA Program created by the National Arbor Day Foundation; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to authorize the City Manager to apply for the Tree City USA recognition and designation; and WHEREAS, the City of Opa-locka will be showing support to add to the rapidly growing National list of Tree Cities. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA,FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals to the preamble are hereby incorporated by reference. Section 2. The City Commission authorizes the City Manager to submit an application to Department of Agriculture and Consumer Service for recognition and designation as a Tree City USA community. Section 3.
