RESOLUTION NO. O l-5g
RESOLUTION GRANTING A
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO
HAYS DRYWALL, INC.
WHEREAS, Hays Drywall, Inc. (Applicant) has applied for a conditional use
permit for an office/warehouse facility at 3575 Hickory Drive, which property
is legally described on Exhibit A attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the City's zoning ordinance requires a conditional use permit
under such circumstances; and
WHEREAS, this matter has been reviewed by the planning commission on June
9, 1987, and by the City Council on July 7, 1987; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the existence of the office/
warehouse facility will not impede the orderly development of adjacent proper-
ties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina,
Minnesota that a conditional use permit be granted to the Applicant for the
stated purpose, subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. On or before October 1, 1987, a brick fascia 42 inches in height
shall be constructed on the east and south walls and entrance
dormer or air lock of the existing building;
2. The parking area shall be large enough to accommodate seven automo-
biles and shall be repaired on or before October 1, 1987;
3. Exterior lighting fixtures shall be entirely opaque and shall cast
light downward and not on adjacent properties;
4. Hours of operation shall be limited to 6:00 a.m. to 9:00
Monday through Saturday;
5. There shall be no exterior storage on site;
p.m.,
6. The existing gravel area shall be seeded on or before October 1,
1987;
7. It is noted that with the exception of the need to seed the gravel
area, the current landscaping meets the performance standards of the
City ordinance;
8. The trash container shall be stored inside the building;
9. The City acknowledges that there exist variances for the south
sideyard setback of the building and for the setback of the blacktop
from the property line; and
10. The Applicant shall pay to the City a fee in the amount determined
by the staff to represent the actual cost to the City of reviewing
this conditional use permit application.
