W H E RE A S , the Village of Key Biscayne, Florida (the "Village") has experienced an
overpopulation of iguanas within the Village; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council desires to direct the Village Manager to address the
overpopulation of iguanas (the "Action Plan"); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council finds that this Resolution is in the best interest and welfare
of the residents of the Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals. That the above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated
herein by reference.
Section 2. Direction. That the Village Council hereby directs the Village Manager to
develop and implement the Action Plan.
Section 3. Implementation. That the Village Council hereby authorizes the Village
Manager to take all actions reasonably necessary to implement the Program, and the purpose and
intent of this Resolution.
Section 4.

Effective Date. That this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon
