W H E RE A S , the V ill age of K ey B iscayne, Florida (the "V illage") has m any senior residents
and believes that its senior residents are im portant and shou ld be celebra ted; and
WHEREAS, the V illage C ouncil desires to direct the V illage M anager to create a pro gra m in
coll abora tion w ith the A SK C lub and the V ill age C ham ber of C om m erce to celebra te those V illage
residents w ho reach the m ilestone age of 100 (the "Pro gra m "); and
WHEREAS, the V illage C ouncil fi nds that this R esolution is in the best interest and w elfa re
of the residents of the V ill age.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals. That each of the above-stated recitals are hereby adopted,
confi rm ed, and incorp ora ted herein.
Section 2. Direction. That the V illage C ouncil hereby directs the V ill age M an ager to
create the Pro gram in coll abora tion w ith the A SK C lub and the V illage C ham ber of C omm erce.
Section 3. Implementation. That the V illage C ouncil hereby authorizes the V ill age
M anager to take all actions reasonably necessary to im plem ent the Pro gra m and the purpose and
intent of this R esolution .

Section 4. Effective Date. This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon
adoption.
