Resolution No. 10- 8 014
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA LOCKA, RELATING TO THE
COMPENSATION OF THE CITY CLERK, AS PER THE
CITY CLERK'S EMPLOYEE AGREEMENT;PROVIDING
FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Deborah S. Irby is currently the City Clerk of the City of Opa-locka,
and has served in that capacity since December 12, 1994; and
WHEREAS,Deborah S.Irby's employment is governed by an Employment Contract
duly authorized and executed on March 8, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the contract provides that, in addition to her base pay, the employee
shall be entitled to receive the same across-the-board or cost-of-living adjustment to said
base salary and/or other benefits of employee, in such amounts and to the same extent as
other City employees shall receive"; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the City Clerk has not received all across-the-board or cost-of-
living adjustments to her base salary as have been given to other City employees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble hereby incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Clerk shall be entitled to receive retroactive compensation for all
raises to which she was contractually entitled but which she did not receive, since the
effective date of her contract, payable from account number 30-512110.
Section 3. The salary of the City Clerk shall be adjusted going forward,to reflect the
new rate of pay after including all raises to which she was contractually entitled.

Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
