AUTHORIZING CONTRACT BETWEEN THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET
AND FRANK RAIA REGARDING THE FITCH STREET COMMONS PROJECT
\VHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret's Fair Share Plan promotes an affordable housing
program puisuant to the Fair Housing Act (N.J.S.A. 52:27D-301, et. gg.); and
\VHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret wish to enter into an
agreement with Frank Raia for the- purpose of administering and enforcing the
afIordability controls and the Affirmative Marketing Plan of the Borough of Carteret,
adopted by this Resolution on May 22, 2008, in accordance with the regulations of the
Council on Affordable Housing pursuant to NJ.A.C. 5:94 !<to !i"!h; and the New Jersey
Uniform Housing Affordability Controls pursuant to NJ.A.C. 5:80-26 et.!i"!h; and.
WHEREAS, the agreement designates Frank Raia as the Administrative Agent for all
units in the Fitch Street Commons Project, camp'onents of the Borough of Carteret's
affordable housing program.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that subject to COAH'S approval of this
agreement, the Mayor and appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to sign
this agreement dated May 22, 2008; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Borough of Carteret hereby designates the
Municipal Housing Liaison as the liaison to Frank Raia; and .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, this agreement is hereby attached to the original ofthis
resolutiQll.
