A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH
QUALITY WIRING FOR THE INSTALLATION OF TWENTY
SIX (26) NETWORK CONNECTIONS, NETWORK
CABINETS AND EQUIPMENT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED FOUR THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED AND FOUR
DOLLARS AND EIGHTY EIGHT CENTS ($4,404.88);
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Opa-locka is preparing to redevelop Sherbondy Park by
constructing a Recreation/ Community Center; and
WHEREAS, Sherbondy Park and Crime Prevention staff will be relocated to two (2)
modular units which will serve as temporary operation space.
WHEREAS, the City of Opa-locka requires the service of Quality Wiring to install the
network connections, cabinets, and equipment necessary for Parks and Recreation Department
operations:
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission authorizes the City Manager to negotiate a service
agreement in an amount not to exceed Four Thousand Four Hundred and Four Dollars and eighty-
eight cents ($4,404.88) for the installation of all hardware and wiring of twenty-six (26) network
cabinets and network connections.

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.

Request: APPROVAL OF A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY

Description: Sherbondy Park and Crime Prevention staff is being relocated to two modular units
in preparation of the Sherbondy Park project. The two existing modular units do not have any
existing data or voice wiring infrastructure. Quality Wiring will install a total of 26 connections,
all required hardware and installations of underground cables to connect both modular units.
Financial Impact: Not Budgeted, Funds will be expended from account number
Implementation Time Line: 15 days
