AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of Seven Hundred Eighty-Five
Thousand Dollars ($785,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary sewer
construction in Grand Glaize Trunk Sanitary Relief (Ballwin Golf Club to Claymont Cove Ct)
(12272) in the City of Ballwin, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22140
with Kelpe Contracting, Inc. for sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is Six Hundred Five
Thousand Seventy-Eight Dollars ($605,078.00) and the allowance for construction change orders
and other project expenses is One Hundred Seventy-Nine Thousand Nine Hundred Twenty-Two
Dollars ($179,922.00);
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Seven Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars
($785,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
construction in Grand Glaize Trunk Sanitary Relief (Ballwin Golf Club to Claymont Cove Ct)
(12272) in the City of Ballwin, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and
conditions as have been approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22140
with Kelpe Contracting, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer construction in
Grand Glaize Trunk Sanitary Relief (Ballwin Golf Club to Claymont Cove Ct) (12272) in the City
of Ballwin, Missouri, pursuant to bids received on the 20th day of January, 2022.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on March 10, 2022.
