A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO SET
COMPENSATION FOR THE INTERIM CITY ATTORNEY;
PROVIDING FOR RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Attorney, Burnadette Norris-Weeks, Esq. resigned on December 9,
2009; and
WHEREAS, City Commission of the City of Opa-locka appointed Joseph S.Geller,Esq.,
and Greenspoon Marder, P.A. as Interim City Attorney; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to set the compensation for the Interim City
Attorney; and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka authorizes compensation of the
Interim City Attorney at the same monthly payment which was paid to the previous City Attorney,as
provided in the City budget, which shall be compensation for all services rendered except for
litigation, which will be billed separately at an hourly rate.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
