APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT
McMANIMON & SCOTLAND, LLC
\VHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret was in need of specialized Tax Appeal services
with regard to various tax appeal issues; and
WHEREAS, McManimon & Scotland, LLC possesses the requisite knowledge and
experience to provide said legal services and;
WHEREAS, McManimon & Scotland, LLC has submitted invoices which provided Tax
Appeal services to the Borough at a cost not to exceed $55,000.00 at the hourly rate
established in accordance with the law fInn's existing contract with the Borough; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are available for the
payment of said professional legal services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and COUllcil of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex , State of New Jersey that:
1. McManimon & Scotland, LLC is hereby authorized to perform specialized
Tax Appeal services at a cost not to exceed $55,000.00 and execute payment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this award is made as professional services
contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(1)a.
