HomeMy Public PortalAbout1987-090i Member its adoption: S eri introduced the following resolution and moved CITY OF MEDINA RESOLUTION NO. 4 7 9 O RESOLUTION GRANTING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ROBERT BRADLEY WHEREAS, Robert Bradley (Applicant) has applied for a conditional use permit for a polo recreational area at Co. Rd. 201 and Hamel Road; and WHEREAS, the City's zoning ordinance requires a conditional use permit under such circumstances; and WHEREAS, this matter has been reviewed by the planning commission on March 10, 1987, and August 11, 1987, and by the City Council on September 1, 1987; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the existence of the polo recrea- tional area will not impede the orderly development of adjacent properties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Medina, Minnesota that a conditional use permit be granted to the Applicant for the stated purpose, subject to the following terms and conditions: 1. All parking required for the facility shall be located on site as shown in the photograph presented to the city; 2. Access to the facility shall be from Co. Rd. 201. The Applicant shall ensure that all literature or invitations regarding the facility shall include a map showing Co. Rds. 24 and 201 and designating Co. Rd. 201 for access. If use of Co. Rd. 201 causes a dust problem, the Applicant shall be responsible for abating the problem in coordination with the City's public works department; 3. Recreational use may be made of the facility during the period from May through November on Saturdays and Sundays and on two additional days each week; 4. The Applicant may hold no more than four major events at the facility each year and shall give the City notice of such events at least two weeks in advance. For the purpose of this conditional use permit, a major event shall be defined as one involving more than 50 persons in attendance; 5. Sale of liquor or non-alcoholic liquor in the site shall be by specific City permission only; 6. There shall be catered food service only on the site; 7. Toilet facilities shall be provided on site for major events; 8. No camping or overnight facilities shall be permitted on site; 9. A11 events shall occur during daylight hours only and no external lights shall be permitted on the facility, loud speakers to be used for announcements only; 10. The Applicant shall ensure that manure is removed from the site in accordance with the standards of Minnesota pollution control agency; 11. No structures relating to the recreational facility shall be constructed on the site; 12. The Applicant shall dedicate to the City the right-of-way for Hamel Road specified by the city staff; and 13. The Applicant shall pay to the City a fee in the amount determined by the staff to represent the actual cost to the City of reviewing this conditional use permit application.
