RESOLUTION NO. 10-8048
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO
RECOGNIZE MAY 6, 2010 AS NATIONAL DAY OF
PRAYER WITHIN THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA;
PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS;
PROVIDING FOR AN EF'F'ECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the United States will observes its 59th National Day of Prayer on
May 6, 2010; and
WHEREAS, the National Day of Prayer is an annual event in which millions of
American unite in prayer; and
WHEREAS, the theme for the 59th National Prayer Day of Prayer is "Prayer for
Such a Time as This"; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desire to recognize
Thursday, May 6, 2010 as National Day of Prayer within the City of Opa-locka, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA,FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble are hereby incorporated by reference.
Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, Florida, hereby
recognizes May 6, 2010 as National Day of Prayer within the City of Opa-locka.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of April, 2010.
