Johnson RESOLUTION NO. 10-8051 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH MIAMI DADE COUNTY TO PROVIDE A TECHNICAL SUPPORT TEAM TO ASSIST IN THE CITY'S BIDDING AND PROCUREMENT PROCESS, AS WELL A SUPPORT TEAM FOR THE HUMAN RESOURCE DEPARTMENT'S HIRING PROCESS, PHYSICALS, TESTINGS, ETC.; PROVIDING FOR INCORPORATION OF RECITALS; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka desires to have in place a Support Team to assist in the City's bidding and procurement process; and WHEREAS, the City of Opa-locka has a need for a Support Team to assist the Human Resource Department in its hiring process; physicals, testings, etc; and WHEREAS, Commissioner Dorothy Johnsons sent a letter to the office of Commissioner Barbara Jordan on February 24, 2010, requesting said support; and WHEREAS Miami-Dade County has provided support to the City of Opa-locka in the past: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OPA LOCKA, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals to the preamble are hereby incorporated by reference. Resolution No. 10-8051 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Opa-locka, Florida, directs and authorizes the City Manager to enter into an interlocal agreement with Miami Dade County through Commissioner' Barbara Jordan's office, to assist the City by providing technical support teams to assist in the Bidding and Procurement process and for the City's Human Resource Department, as set forth above. Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
