Resolution No. 10-8053
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF OPA-LOCKA, FLORIDA, TO APPOINT A CITY
ATTORNEY; PROVIDING FOR RECITALS; PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the previous City Attorney, Burnadette Norris-Weeks, Esq., resigned on
December 9, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Opa-locka appointed Joseph S. Geller,
Esq., and Greenspoon Marder, P.A. as Interim City Attorney as of December 17, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to appoint Joseph S. Geller, Esq. and
Greenspoon Marder, P.A. as City Attorney:
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA,FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals to the preamble herein are incorporated by reference.
Section 2. Joseph S.Geller,Esq.and Greenspoon Marder,P.A.,are hereby appointed as
City Attorney, on the same terms and conditions as their appointment as Interim City Attorney.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28`h day of April, 2010.
