AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR
ARCHlTECTURALSERVICES~THPOTTERARCHITECTS-
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT FOR HEALTH AND \VELLNESS CENTER

\VHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized architectural services in
.connection with design development of approved prelinrinary design construction
assemblieS . and building materials research building code research, re~iew and
'i:r;tterpretations design development of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection
and structural .systems coordination with consulting engineers for the ,Health and
Wellness Center; and .
\VHEREAS, Potter Architects, 410 Coloma! Avenue, Union, New Jersey 07083,
possesses the requisite experience and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, Potter Architects has submitted a proposal to provide said services at a total
cost not to exceed $213,500.00; and .
\VHEREAS, the Maypr and Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer certifies that funds are or will be available for
said purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
ofCarteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal of Potter Architects for specialized architectural
services in connection with design development of approved
preliminary design constmction assemblies and building materials
researcQ. building code research, review and interpretations design
developme~t of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection
and structural systems coordination with consulting engineers for
the Health and Wellness Center at a total cost not to exceed
$213,500.00 is hereby approved.
2. Annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal;

This action is approved as :in award of a professional services
contra,t pursuant to NJ.S.A. 40A:1l-5(1)(a) in accordance with
the Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by la,:v.
